AGE TO SPAY A DOG

He had this to say: "There is no perfect age to spay a dog but having said that the best age to spay a female dog is before it experiences its first heat. That usually means I like to conduct the procedure before the female dog is a year old. That makes the best time to spay a dog about 4 to 6 months old.Remember that you are probably trying to establish the optimum age to spay a dog to prevent it from producing an unwanted litter so do have the procedure done before all the dogs in the neighborhood have made the young female dog's life a misery for no reason.

BEST AGE TO SPAY A FEMALE DOG
There are some veterinary sources who claim that it is better to let a female dog reach the age of one year,  in other words let it go through one heat, before spaying. However there is no conclusive proof that this is the right age to spay pets or the correct age to spay dogs. There are studies ongoing about when is the best age to spay a dog but it will be several years before the results of these surveys are complete.
